RULES:

1. The GM [Game Master] is always right.

2. If you have any questions about this, see Rule #1.

3. You must ask to join, show your characters reference sheet, show the form filled out [ Link at the bottom of page ], watch the Pride, and get a Yes to EVERYTHING before you are an official Member.

4. We do not use authority to our advantage in anyway. We do what we need to do to keep the Pride up and running.

5. If you insult any of the other members (including alpha's) *ic or *ooc you will be faced with consequences.

6. When something comes to our attention, the Alpha's will discuss the problems, and sometimes will consult the council (Rooks and Bishops) on their opinions.

7. Anything said between a member and an admin of the group will NOT be openly discussed (like posting it in a journal, holding a poll, or through a deviation) and if it is, this will result in consequences.

8. Anyone who over steps their boundaries will be given a Warning first, A second time will result in their character's rank being dropped to 'Rogue' Status, and a third will result in being Banned.

Obtaining Rook, Bishop & Knight Ranks

What are Rooks, Bishops and Knights?
They are ranks right below the Alphas, descending in authority from Rook to Knight.
Since the pride is so large, it is divided into "marks" one in each of the four directions and one more in the center of the territory. The center mark is where the Alphas live, since they can't be everywhere at once, Rooks & Bishops tend to their designated mark and keep everything running smoothly. There are Knights in every mark, these also take care of the marks as well.

Do they have to be mates? Is the position open to only one gender?
No, and no. No one said that Rook and Bishops had to be mates. It is totally possible for leaders not to be hooked together. All it means is, you two are the most powerful and well rounded lions to lead. Any gender can be in any position.

All the positions are filled I want my character to be a Bishop/Rook/Knight!
Remember, you should be a member that's been around her for at least a little while, and your character has to be a part of said mark. You must be an active member, and have a character ready to take on the responsibility.

Obtaining Rook, Bishop & Knight Ranks
If you see a member that owns a character with one of those ranks, that hasn't been here in a long time, note an admin about how your interested in the position, why and why your character would be good for the position in question.


So I go away for a while and now my character's rank is gone!
If a member who has a Rook/Bishop/Knight character, is inactive for a large amount of time without a warning, Then their spot is free pickings. We need to keep the pride changing and moving on. Your character will however still will be a respected member of the pride.


Being Challenged & Overthrown
If you characters position is being challenged, you will receive a message stating you are being " Challenged " for your spot. You can then role play this out with said member who wants the position or give a straight answer if your willing to give up the position.

If you do not respond to this message within a week's time, the change is made permanent for all to see. Your character's position was "Over-thrown".

If you come back too late then tough poop. That's life, and if your IRL is so hectic that we don't hear from you months on end then...WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE ANYWAY!?

If you really *must* make a fuss, you will note me (Kiyoshi) about it being unfair, and the admins and I will get together and take a poll of what to do.
WE WILL ONLY DO THIS FOR THOSE WHO REALLY WANT THEIR SPOT BACK BECAUSE THEY FEEL CHEATED.


Alpha Ranks?
You can not overthrow Alpha Adwin-Badru, or Alpha Aurora. This is only because we made the pride, and as making it, I am allowed some sort of perk. Plus its easier for everyone to know who I am when new members come online and people on DA note me about the pride.

Mate-etiquette!

1. To start a Court-ship to 'woo' a Lion / Lioness. You must draw them a picture of your character offering their character something.
2. When the Lion / Lioness accepts, they must draw you a picture back.
3. Once they are together, Note the Pride of the couple, with the links to the pictures.
4. It will be posted on the "Cubs and Couples" Journal and then they can mate and have many many cubs!

Due to our large numbers, I will only allow mating for life! One male per One Female and Visa Versa! All of those who do not follow this rule will be in deep doo doo!
